On the Schedule!

After five months of complications, misery and delay, I just learned that my transplant is ON THE SCHEDULE! I'll be admitted on the 11th of June for four days of cladribine & thymoglobin, then melphalan on the 15th, and, finally, the donor cells on the 16th. All I have to do now is to stay healthy for nine more days!

  3. I think I can help a little to support your views. Several of the items you dscribe are listed in the Cytogam adverse side efects: muscle cramps, back pain, nausea, vomiting, arthralgia, and wheezing are frequent. Stress to the kidneys (especially in people who are (ahem shall we say older? or have paraproteins)can occur and cause
increases in serum creatinine and blood urea nitrogen (BUN).

The Respiratory system seems sensitive to this medication causing Apnea, Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome (ARDS), Transfusion Associated Lung Injury (TRALI), hypoxemia, dyspnea, and bronchospasms

While A Fib isn't listed, cardiac arrest and hypotension are.

The Neurological ADRs do sound miliar: diminished or loss of consciousness and tremor are two.

Much as I would like to meditate on the hematologic reactions, you didn't comment on them so (sigh) I won't.

The most frequent Musculoskeletal complaint is back pain and the most frequent GI concern is abdominal pain.

It may very well be that, as you say, it took some time for the systems to recover from a serious shock.

La buena suerte la semana próxima y sabe que hay esperanzas y rezos que rodean le e Ivonne pues usted caminata esta pieza del camino junto.

  4. And there is also the unknown, unmeasurable aspect of Love which, manifested by prayer and/or thoughts of good outcomes, must be surrounding you, enfolding you and blessing you... Ivonne in primary, of course.
We join her in that support by energy to bring you through this transplant and out the other side....
